I'm a seamstress working from my home studio based in South Bristol with over 15 years experience in clothing alterations & repairs.
I established SewSuz in 2020 following nearly 13 years of employment as an in-house seamstress in general alterations & repairs.
I offer alterations & repairs to Bridal & Formal wear & everyday wear during quiet season.
I absolutely love to see the boost in confidence the placement of a few pins can give you in your first fitting which transforms into full confidence at our next fitting...making it yours...no matter how big or small the alterations.
If you have any enquiries don't hesitate to contact me.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
Always fascinated with sewing & machines from a young age - I remember only ever being allowed to look but not touch my Great Grandmother's enticing vintage Singer in the cabinet under the stairs.
Both of my Grandmothers taught me on their own machines, one on the old faithful singer hand crank & the other (an ex Clark's shoes machinist) on her beloved Bernina.
My interest grew studying Textiles at school & I went on to study at GCSE, A-Level & completed my Foundation Art Degree in which my key subject was textiles/fashion; although it was the sewing rather than the design that interested me most - I can't draw faces.
I opted for work instead of Uni & landed a job in general alterations & repairs. I learnt a lot on the job with everyday a new challenge but also built on my knowledge of handling different fabrics.
Working for myself was always a dream & after setting up SewSuz in 2020 from my home based work space I haven't looked back since!
