BRIDESMAID ALTERATIONS
Bridesmaids often need alterations too! The most common alteration required for bridesmaids is the hem but do consider your pictures & if your party are having alterations at various locations ensure everyone is having them carried out to the same length; usually this is to "sweep" or "graze" the floor.
*Where booking for a larger party, appointments for bridesmaids or other wedding guests can (ideally) be arranged in pairs. Where possible I will try to book appointments together however this cannot always be guaranteed & all appointments offered are subject to availability.
WHEN DO I NEED TO BOOK FOR MY BRIDESMAID ALTERATIONS?
Bridesmaids are often left to the last minute to book but advance booking as with Bridal alterations is highly recommended; this could be as soon as you buy or order your dress(es) &/or have your wedding date.
A first fitting is usually scheduled for around 6-8 weeks before your wedding date with a second fitting around 3-4weeks before. Some dresses may require 3 or more fittings which cannot always be foreseen but will be booked in appropriately.
Fittings are booked for up to 30minutes per bridesmaid gown, some are quicker than others but it all depends what needs to be done. Where possible I will book in groups of 2-3 subject to availability.
HOW MUCH DO BRIDESMAID ALTERATIONS COST?
No two dresses or bodies are the same.
Bridesmaid alterations will vary depending on the required alterations, fullness of the hem, fabrics, layers, dress design/style, construction, any embellishments, etc.
I can give an estimate prior to your first fitting based on the details & pictures you provide, this is of course subject to seeing & fitting the dress in person.

What will I need to bring with me to fittings?
-Your DRESS(es).
-A full length BREATHABLE STORAGE BAG & HANGER.
- Any FOUNDATION GARMENT(S) e.g. bra, any shapewear, sew in cups, underskirts, etc.
- SHOES – These are essential for EVERY fitting! - I cannot pin your hem without them!
& anything else that you plan to wear that may affect the fit of your dress.
Can i bring someone to my fitting?
Of course! BUT my studio fitting space is limited. Where possible I ask that only those in need of fitting are present however understand if wish to bring along someone for support.
I can host a maximum of three in one sitting for bridesmaid fittings (bride + 2 bridesmaids or bride + bridesmaid + guest or 3x bridesmaids).
Children are not to attend unless booked for their own fitting & anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
